Using Wood Posts with Wrought Iron Fence for a Custom Look

Our customer Jim from Ohio recently sent us in some photos of his completed project that are an amazing and beautiful example of using wood 4×4 posts in conjunction with wrought iron fence for an amazing custom look.

Jim utilized our 4ft tall Traditional Grade Wrought Iron fence in Classic style.  He also used our Butterfly Scroll and Guardian add-on decorations to give the fence a more custom look.  Those add-on decorations come loose and can be added in any configuration over the picket on new or existing fences.

As for the wood posts, they can easily be used with our standard brackets.  You simply have to provide a wood lag screw to attach the bracket to the wood post.

Jim started with standard wood 4×4 posts.  He then routed the grooves in the face of the post and used a wood burning kit for the shamrocks.  After sanding and staining the posts, he affixed our 4 inch cast iron ball caps to the tops.

Our iron fence can be mounted to just about any flat surface.  In addition to wood posts, we have had folks mount our aluminum and iron fence panels directly to brick, stone and stucco as well.

Simply stunning work Jim.  It turned out great.  A perfect example of how a little creativity can take our already beautiful fence and crank it to 11 with some awesome handiwork and planning!
