Why Galvanization is the Best Rust Proofing for Your Iron Fence or Iron Gate

When shopping for an iron or metal fence, its easy to get lost in pretty installed pictures and styles. However, when buying a fence or gate made of steel and iron, what’s underneath that outer coating is one of the most important items to be aware of. A pretty fence is no good if it rusts to pieces in 3-10 years! These underneath coatings are a very common area manufacturers take shortcuts on to lower costs artificially.

In the video below, we go through why the layer of galvanization underneath our powder coated iron fences and gates is key to keeping your pieces looking good. We exposed raw materials, galvanized materials and powder coated materials to the outside elements for 6 months to see how they performed.
